A twenty eight year old mother visits a warehouse store with her infant son.  While retrieving a package of diapers from the rear of a floor level pallet, a 2 x 6 wood cross support falls from the top tier of pallet racks.  As a result of the impact she has had five hospitalizations, two emergency room visits, two surgeries, and has sustained, in addition to the original fractures and trauma, permanent "Drop Foot", eyelid tarsus, cervical disc herniations, trouble swallowing and loss of consortium.

Elevator Repairman, $2.5 Million Verdict

A Chicago elevator repairman falls 11 stories when an elevator car he is trying to repair begins moving, throwing him off and down an adjacent shaft.  The rooftop repair control switches failed to operate due to the  failure of the elevator owner to provide regular routine maintenance.  He suffered multiple severe fractures of his hips, legs, shoulders as well as a deep laceration to his chest.  After five years of treatment and four surgeries he has sustained severe, permanent injuries to his hips and legs.

Improper Resuscitation of Baby, $1.05 Million Verdict

A Lake County woman gives birth to a child that is not breathing.  The anesthesiologist on duty improperly performs Neonatal Resuscitation resulting in cerebral anoxia among other damage.  The child later dies.
